Hi my name is Ang Biondo.  I first became interested in computing back in the days of  the Commodore.  Our first computer (I say ours because it was purchased for the kids as a Christmas gift.)  It had a whopping 5000 bytes of ram and the first 250 bytes of  UMB (Upper memory Block) was utilized by the DOS operating system.  It turned out to be a challenge for my young children as well as myself at the time.  I had the typical adult attitude toward computers at the time and was intimidated by this banshee from hell. Attempts to attain help were non-existent, and when you did find someone to talk to they may as well have been speaking a foreign language.  I became determined to not let it get the best of me and the rest of the story is history.

In the past 30 some years that I’ve  been an avid computer enthusiast, and building my first PC compatible unit some 25 years ago I have become a pseudo expert to my friends, relatives and co-workers. As the technology is in warp speed and ever changing, I could never consider myself as more than  a novice.  I guess since I’ve either built or upgraded and uncountable number of computers along with some sleepless nights of programming and troubleshooting, I will admit having a slightly above status of novice.

I retired from my first line of work as a journeyman tool inspector back in 1999.  Computing has always been considered a hobby.  I am registered with Microsoft as a developer and could easily rely on my slightly above novice status for a living if it got to that.  Over the years my family and friends have relied on me to help them get through the little annoyances that inevitably arise for anyone who owns a computer.  I know there is a lot of other help out there … unfortunately, what I’ve noticed is a lot of sites like to talk over heads and make even people like me who have a lot of experience feel like an idiot.  My hope is that I can offer solutions to common problems without talking over heads, and if I can’t – maybe I can at least steer them in the right direction.

Like computer technology, I hope to keep this site in a state of constant change, hopefully for the better.  Some of the things you can look forward to are:

-          Computer Forums

-          Political Blogs

-          Recipes (so popular I moved them to their own site: angelobiondo.com)

-          And a host of other topics

As the site grows I’ll be looking for suggestions to improve it – so keep your thinking caps handy and and let me know what you think.
